Happy Birthday, Jesus! WHOOHEE!!

We started a new tradition this year, shamesly ripped from the Christian evangelist, megachurch dude. I forgot his name now, but he hosted Barak Obama, and John McCain at his church for a few questions. That dude. Anyway, his familly always has a birthday party on Christmas eve, for Jesus. It seemed like a good idea, having kids and all. They like birthdays. Happy Birthday, Bro. We started off by making cookies for Santa, (cause Santa and Mrs. Clause really like cookies ;) ) Here are Grace's
Jack's cookies for Santa.
Jack really liked his beautiful cookie. He just stared in amazement for a few minutes at his creation.
Grace took her time. Santa must be impressed!
Eating cake for Jesus, ya! We are gonna leave a piece of this for Santa, too.
Then, Mom read the Christmas story to a captive audience.
Here's THE book. The pictures are Great.
Now, time for opening a present. Each kid opens 1 present. 3 kids, 3 wise men. Im sure they wish there were more wise men, so they could open more presents. Jack had no problem picking which present he wanted to open. The biggest, of course. He thought it was going to be a 200 piece Magnetix box. He couldnt wait to open it. Nothing could be better than getting a 200 piece Magnetix. Until he opened it, and found something that was the most bestest ever!
Grace had a hard time picking a present to open. Every one she picked up was either Luke's or Jack's. Finally, Mommy went and set out a few for her. She picked from the Grace pile.
My boy!
Luke had a little help opening this one. He is very interested in it. We know this by the jerky motions and drool.
Aunt Videt, and Uncle Dave hit a home run with this one. When we were in La. for Thanksgiving, they saw Jack looking through a magazine, and circling the things he wanted. He got very excited about a pinball game, and they both knew what to do.. They beat us to it lol. It is AWESOME! Very well constructed, and if Jack (when) Jack breaks any pieces, they are easy to replicate. Its all simple woodwork. He is very very very very excited.
Jack has wanted a pinball game for a long time now. This was the most exciting point of the night, if you can imagine.
Grace was very excited to get a crafty project. These never get old. She says she doesnt know how to smile, so I said "Pooh, and butt", and such things to make her smile, but she moved around too much, laughing, and all those pictures were blurry.

Update. Getting ready for Xmas

This poor little tree. Its been kicked around for a few years now. We had it in Louisiana. Maybe it will get a break in 5 years. The kids like putting the ornaments on. We've had the same ornaments for a few years too. They are indestructable. We get a new ornament each year to represent an important thing that happened. We thought maybe a baby would be a good one for this year, since we had a baby and everything. Grace is thinking a little black lab would be a better one. (We got a black lab/basset hound mut from the shelter named Mindy). I guess the dog is more exciting.

Jack is constantly trying to make people laugh. I love that about him. He is an entertainer.
He found a ball of yarn that Granny left here, and took the pads out of his bike helmet for this disguise. I didnt know who it was.

Poor Raegan took a some pictures, trying to get one for a christmas card. Id post them all, but its too many. The progression was funny. Grace got aggravated at her brothers for not acting right, then touching her. Jack was a clown, and Luke pretty much just laughed at Jack the entire time.

Luke started eating rice last week. This one is mixed with mommy milk. He eats once or twice a day now. I mix the rice with applesauce too.

Here is what I mean by Luke laughing at everything Jack does. Jack experiments to see if he can get a different reaction, but that little guy just thinks Jack is the greatest toy ever.

Another mouth to feed

Grace has waited for this day for many months. She has read every Guinea Pig book at both her school library, and the local public library. Im sure she has checked them out thouroughly online as well.

Luke says, "Happy Birthday, sis". He shows affection by stretching his tongue as far as he can. Kiss Army recruit maybe.

Cut the damn cake, allready!

Grace gets the first piece!

This stuff came in today, from Granny, and aunt Stacy! Grace says, "Thanks, yo!"

Meet Brownie. She picked this guy out of many. He is very funny. These things make sounds just like pigs. She got the new Ice Age DVD, and a couple of books as well. All in all, she had a good day.

My Little Girl is 9!!!!

Happy birthday Grace! My favorite little girl in the whole world. You are so special, and it makes me very happy to see you every day. I love picking you up from school, watching you hop to the truck, smiling. I love that you enjoy your pets so much, and take such good care of them. Your dogs are very lucky to have such a good master. Your little brothers are so lucky to have such a great big sister. You teach Jack so much, and you are so great with Luke. He really loves to see you come into the room. Me and your Mommy are the luckiest, though. We have the most special little girl ever. You make us so proud. You are doing so good in school, and are just a really cool person to hang out with. I cant believe you are growing up so fast. I remember when you were a little porcelin doll, with thick, thick, curly black hair. You are so beautiful, smart, funny, and kind. You are growing into a Great Young Lady. I love you

Luke had his 4 month Dr. visit this morning. He is 26" long, 17lbs 3oz. For all you percentile junkies, thats 90 and 90. His head is 50 pct. He got 3 shots, and didnt even cry. He was quietly chewing his hands for the entire visit, untill after the shots. Then he would not stop talking. He was calmly telling us how displeased he was with us in every way he knew how. We left the doctor, and picked up some Burger King for Grace. She was suprized to see us show up at her school for lunch. We are doing just the familly thing for her party. She picked out everything about it. Roast with rice and brown gravy for supper, with chocolate cake with chocolate icing, that she helped me make. When Mommy gets home, me and Grace are going to pick up her birthday present. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
