Happy Birthday, Jesus! WHOOHEE!!

We started a new tradition this year, shamesly ripped from the Christian evangelist, megachurch dude. I forgot his name now, but he hosted Barak Obama, and John McCain at his church for a few questions. That dude. Anyway, his familly always has a birthday party on Christmas eve, for Jesus. It seemed like a good idea, having kids and all. They like birthdays. Happy Birthday, Bro. We started off by making cookies for Santa, (cause Santa and Mrs. Clause really like cookies ;) ) Here are Grace's
Jack's cookies for Santa.
Jack really liked his beautiful cookie. He just stared in amazement for a few minutes at his creation.
Grace took her time. Santa must be impressed!
Eating cake for Jesus, ya! We are gonna leave a piece of this for Santa, too.
Then, Mom read the Christmas story to a captive audience.
Here's THE book. The pictures are Great.
Now, time for opening a present. Each kid opens 1 present. 3 kids, 3 wise men. Im sure they wish there were more wise men, so they could open more presents. Jack had no problem picking which present he wanted to open. The biggest, of course. He thought it was going to be a 200 piece Magnetix box. He couldnt wait to open it. Nothing could be better than getting a 200 piece Magnetix. Until he opened it, and found something that was the most bestest ever!
Grace had a hard time picking a present to open. Every one she picked up was either Luke's or Jack's. Finally, Mommy went and set out a few for her. She picked from the Grace pile.
My boy!
Luke had a little help opening this one. He is very interested in it. We know this by the jerky motions and drool.
Aunt Videt, and Uncle Dave hit a home run with this one. When we were in La. for Thanksgiving, they saw Jack looking through a magazine, and circling the things he wanted. He got very excited about a pinball game, and they both knew what to do.. They beat us to it lol. It is AWESOME! Very well constructed, and if Jack (when) Jack breaks any pieces, they are easy to replicate. Its all simple woodwork. He is very very very very excited.
Jack has wanted a pinball game for a long time now. This was the most exciting point of the night, if you can imagine.
Grace was very excited to get a crafty project. These never get old. She says she doesnt know how to smile, so I said "Pooh, and butt", and such things to make her smile, but she moved around too much, laughing, and all those pictures were blurry.

Yay for family traditions! It looks like Grace takes photos just like her Daddy does, anti-smiling.
Love y'all! Wish we could be there.
