moving dirt

Jack helped get the clumps of grass separated from the dirt and leave the dirt in. He helped get the rocks and roots out. Grace helped lay everything out, the weed sheets, hose, etc. They both worked very hard. Dad did all the digging!

Blackberries

2 blueberry bushes. They need 2 different varieties to pollinate

Baby broccoli. We had a slug problem that we had to fix early on. Saved the plants though. You can see the slug bait, little white spots on the ground. We eat a lot of broccoli Romaine for caesar salads. Raegan and Grace eat a lot of this stuff Onions in the back, and garlic. This is the spot we put all the leaves for a couple of years.

We planted a peach tree where the willow tree used to be. It has baby peaches on it. The plum has a lot of little plums, the cherry tree is loaded down with babies, enough to make 100s of pies, the apple tree has a few little guys started. It takes a few years to get everything going, but you sure do learn a lot while you go.
