The pinewood derby is the last thing the scouts do before summer break. Jack loved making his car. He designed the shape. All I did was cut it out and put on the wheels. He did all the sanding and painting. His car won a race. Nobody will forget his reaction. Lets just say, there is no doubt that he was excited. We didn't catch it on video, though. oh well

Way to go Jack! I'm sure you and Dad and all involved had a gun time. We'd like to sse you and the car, get Dad to put it on the blog for us. Thanx
oops FUN not gun
Yay Jack! I can feel your excitement all the way over here!
I love the car, unique, great color. You haveta display that. So Travis, you are a great dad, you supported the right way, it's about Jack and you kept that in check. Too bad more dad's don't get that. Maybe after seeing Jack's enthusiasm of REALLY winning, they'll get a glimpse. OH---Word verification below was TRASIV, (not kiddin) it's a sign of your greatness.
Well, Grace wants one now, so we will be headed up to the scout office to buy a couple more of them.
That's AWESOME! The Wii car is cute! Jack is gonna be an Eagle scout in no time!
Jack, you did great with your car! Travis, you are just like that commercial with the kid who makes his own car and the other kids' parents "help" them excessively and the kid who made his own wins the race! Inspirational. I love you and your sweet little fam!
Yeah, Stac we see that too and say Jack and Travis. Dad brought up Willie Patrick's race, Travis will remember him. He didn't have much help. He brought his car, just the uncarved unpainted block with wheels attached. He won a race, surprised everyone!!!
Can't wait to see more Holloway cars. Please blog 'em.
We told Jack about Carlton's car, called the garbage can. A block of wood painted silver that won.
Congrats on winning Jack!! I love that paint job. Your dad made some great derby cars in scouts too.
