Grace has been working on form. She really wants to make her animals as real as can be. They are doing really good in music. Their teacher said that most kids get 2-3 songs a week. They usually have 5-8, and they get through them all. In drums, Jack is progressing very well. He just started learning a drum solo from KISS's first drummer. Look it up on youtube as the Carr solo. He has been working strictly on fundamentals up until now, getting his limbs independent of each other, and learning the different types of beats. It will be cool to be able to jam with him soon. They are both doing really good in school, too. Luke is growing up fast. He communicates very well, even though he doesnt know any words. He is very vocal, and is allways singing. He dances and headbangs when Im playing guitar, and practices every chance he gets on the drums and piano. The kids are really having fun watching him grow, and they are very good with him.

Boo at the Zoo. We go every year. This was the first time that we got there during daylight. It was cool to see the animals as well. It was a great night.

And Mustard

Jack decided to decorate his face without using his hands. Faceplant in the gravel worked nicely. He didnt know he was scarred up, just got up and kept playing, until his buddy at school told him he was bleeding in a few spots.

He has been working very hard on his Cursive writing. They dont teach this in 1st grade, he is working ahead.

Skype

My skype is travis_holloway. If you have it, add me. If you dont have it, it is great. Get it so you can see and talk to the kids. Just look up skype, and download it. You dont need a camera or mic to be able to see and hear us, you can type your messages. Its better if we can see you too, though. Go get it and add us. Oh, and its free!

Scout

This was a good day. It was our first scout outing. We got some good one on one time, and were led to a great spot in the Smokies. Im more excited about scouting now than I ever was. There are so many places to go and see around here. This will be fun.

A little help

I was almost too slow to get the camera. He helped her clear the whole silverware tray. Maybe she will share her allowance with him.

The fair

Jack has started on the path to Eagle. We now have 2 scouts. He is very excited. He is in the den from school, and he has a few classmates with him.

This year was perfect weather for the fair. It was overcast, and cool. No sunburns or heatstrokes. Jack and Grace were tall enough to go on almost all of the rides. We rode them all, some many times. They weren't scared of anything. This was their favorite one.

This was Luke's favorite ride.

We went to Louisiana to celebrate Luke's 1st birthday with family. It was a quick trip, and lots of fun. It was good to see everybody, and we are very grateful for Me-me and Pawpaw for being such great hosts. Unfortunately, our camera decided to take its own vacation, and would not take a picture at all, so we did't get any pictures. Luke didn't actually turn 1 until we got back home, so he got cake twice. Anyway, here he is showing off his stuff. He likes to entertain people. He really likes to make people smile and laugh. He still prefers his monkey scoot to walking. It's a faster way to travel at the moment. Pawpaw nicknamed him Scooter, and it fits. He isn't growing as fast as his big brother and sister did. His height and weight are both average. His stats from the doc are 21.4lb, 30cm
