Mama!

Luke's first word was confirmed! He calls for his mommy now, when she exits the room, and when he is upset. At 6 months, he beats his siblings. They both talked early, but I think this one may be too smart for them. Raegan is pretty excited. I havent got him to do it for the camera yet.

6 months

Poor Luke had his 6 month doctor visit yesterday. Shots, shots, and more shots. He was really good for the doctor and nurses, laughing, being ticklish. Me and Jack left him there with Mommy, to go get Grace from school. Im glad I missed the shots this time.

Jack and Grace are doing good. They started their music lessons last week. Today is Jack's 2nd drum lesson. They go to piano on Tuesdays. They are really good about practicing. When each of them gets home from school, we sit down together and pound it out. Grace is putting both hands together already. The teacher didnt think Jack would learn as fast, so she stopped a couple lessons short of Grace. He practices probably 10 times a day, but will not go past the point the teacher told him to. I'll have to have a talk with her... After a couple months, we will see about alternating voice/piano. Grace isnt too excited about it, but we will see how she warms up to the teacher. So far, so good.

New post

Everyone is hounding me to post something new, so here we go. We are still recovering from Christmas. The baby still misses his mommy every day. He really liked having her home for so long, over the hollidays. He wakes up looking all around for her, and looks for her when he gets tired. Around 4:30 pm, every day, he expects her to walk through the door. He gets very mad if she is late. Raegan gets mad when I call him titty baby, and milk fed momma's boy, but Im just being honest. Anyway, at 5 1/2 months, he is growing up fast. His bald spot is filling in now. Its coming back red. He stands up pretty good, until he gets distracted, and lunges for something else.

He pulls himself up, to sit. He can sit for as long as he wants now, until he gets distracted, and lunges for something else. He is good at bracing himself as he falls, and has soft landings. He hasnt started crawling yet. His legs are covered most of the time, and its too slippery on the wood to get good practice. When it warms up, he will pick it up quick enough. He scoots backwards, and pulls forward with just his arms, and spins around to get where he wants to go.

He is getting his first teeth on the bottom. He has 2 little slivers poking through.

Jack lost his first tooth. He was very excited. He has been very anxious to have the tooth fairy visit him. He actually went to sleep, and stayed in his bed all night. Usually, he gets up at least once, to ask if there are such things as giant cheese graters, or hullabaloos, or whatever his dream is about. The dentist was mad, because the tooth was not ready to come out. He made it loose by opening too many bottles. Teeth for tools!

I have to take pictures of all his towers. He likes to put stuff on the blog. He is good at building.

I looked for new Grace pictures, but she has managed to elude the camera for too long. I'll take some pictures of her when she comes home from school. I looked for her latest masterpiece, but I cant find it. Raegan will have to look for it. Its probably right in front of me. I'll post that later too. She is doing very good in school. They called her up for a scholastic award in their school assembly. I didnt know about any assembly, or I would have crashed it. "That's my girl!! Whoooeeee!" would be fun to let loose. Think Grace would be em bare assed?

Jack and Grace start music lessons in a couple of weeks. Grace only wants to do piano to start with. Jack is in piano and drums. Their piano teacher does voice, too. Jack will alternate, every other week between voice, and piano. We will see how it goes with Grace. Her teacher will have to prove herself to get that little bird to chirp.

Some pics from Christmas day. I wont bore you with everything, but here is the Santa booty. It was really cool that Santa was able to deliver on their lists. Their belief level went up a few tics.

Granny sent some treats. Jack really liked these. He added a couple other important ingredients, chocolate syrup, banana, sugar. He was being too quiet, so I went to check on him, and he was sitting in front of this.

After the kids started to wind down in the living room, Mommy started screaming in excitement from the tile room. I thought she hurt herself. We all ran in there to see what was the matter. Some things were too heavy for santa to be dragging all around the house, apparently.

Jack has been practicing every day. He is pretty excited about this. Grace gets behind them every once in awhile, too.

Lucy and Mindy were on his good list too.
